The Black Tie Ski Rental delivery experience is built on customization, convenience, and customer care. We service all nearby mountains in the Banff area including Lake Louise, Sunshine, and Norquay. We have two great service options in Banff; you can get your gear delivered right to your vacation accommodations or you can visit our conveniently located storefront shop, right in the lobby of the Banff Park Lodge. We like to make your reservation process as seamless as possible. Make sure to book your reservation 48 hours prior to your arrival online at www.blacktieskis.com or by calling our Reservations Office. Online reservations are not available within 48 hours of arrival, so please call our Reservations Office if you need to make a last-minute booking. Black Tie Ski Rentals reserves the right to substitute equipment of equal or greater value in order to accommodate all advance reservations. Valet walk-ins are permitted to rent for one day as long as equipment is available, and at the valet’s discretion.

We require a credit card to hold your reservation. Your card will then be charged within 24 hours of your ski delivery and fitting. You can make any adjustments or additions throughout the reservation period and our Reservation Office will adjust your billing accordingly – no need to run your card multiple times! Once you’ve wrapped up your trip, we’ll email you a final receipt to the email on file.

You must notify Black Tie ASAP if you wish to return your equipment prior to your pre-arranged return date. Equipment must be returned by 6:00 p.m. the evening prior to your requested refund date in order to be eligible for a refund for the following day. Same day refund requests are not available. This allows our team time to process the equipment so it can be re-rented. We do not offer refunds for unused days within your rental period.

You can cancel your reservation up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled delivery at NO CHARGE. If you cancel within the 48-hour window, you will be subject to a charge of one full-day rental per person plus applicable taxes. That said, we know winter travel can be unpredictable. Delayed and canceled flights. The rogue snow storm. Lost luggage. We get it; we’ve been there, and we know how frustrating it can be. That’s why reservation cancellations or delays due to weather or reasons beyond the guest’s control will be rescheduled or canceled without charge.

We expect a reasonable amount of wear and tear while using Black Tie equipment – it lets us know you’ve been getting after it! An optional damage waiver is available and covers damage to equipment that requires labor or repair beyond a standard tune and wax. This kind of damage includes base, edge, or top sheet damage. If you’re planning on pushing your limits or skiing or riding off-piste, we highly recommend securing this additional coverage. Please note it does NOT cover damage due to NEGLIGENCE, THEFT, or LOSS (e.g., skiing down the road to your accommodations or leaving your ski boots to melt by the fire).

Your rental period begins on the delivery date if you receive your equipment before 2:00 p.m. Equipment delivered after 2:00 p.m. applies to the following day’s reservation. All equipment must be returned on the evening of your last ski day by 6:00 p.m. Our reservation team will contact you on your last day of skiing. Please respond to that message by 5:00 p.m. to either extend your rentals or schedule a pick-up. Any equipment not returned by the end of the day on the confirmed return date is subject to an additional charge. For store returns, you must return equipment before the store closes.

There are two easy ways to make a reservation with Black Tie Ski Rentals: 1. Online – where our state-of-the-art reservation system is both secure and easy to use. 2. Call your desired location directly and let our professional staff walk you through the process.

If you prefer to come to us, we offer complete rental shops in select locations. For these locations, you can choose a storefront fitting option when making your reservation. Walk-ins are permitted, however, we highly recommend making a reservation. The following locations offer both ski rental delivery and storefront locations: Banff, Boone, Big Sky, Jackson Hole, Mammoth, North Tahoe, Steamboat, Sun Valley, Telluride, Vail, and Whistler.

All Black Tie Ski Rentals locations utilize the latest in tuning technologies to maintain our equipment. We are committed to tuning each piece of equipment as it returns to suit the prevailing conditions.

Do you love your ski or snowboard boots like you love fresh powder? We totally understand. Black Tie offers a discounted rate if you bring your own boots. Please specify when making your reservation that you have your own boots, and select a “ski or snowboard only” package.

Renting skis is like renting a car. Even if you have the skis for four days and only ski for three, you still need to pay for the entire time you have the equipment. If you’re renting for an extended period, please contact our reservation team to discuss rest day options.

Traditional groups start at 15 people. Please contact your desired location directly to discuss any group discounts that might be applicable.

Yes, we rent helmets for all ages and sizes and highly recommend all skiers and riders wear a helmet. They are safe, warm, and stylish, and you can request them when making your reservation.

Our Delivery Service opens early and closes late so you can maximize your time on the mountain. Exact times vary by location. We understand traveling in the mountains can be difficult and unpredictable. If you’re experiencing delays or need to make special arrangements, please call your local office directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Our professionally trained rental techs use the information you provide – your rental package, ability level, and the current snow conditions – to select the best possible equipment to suit your needs. Our vans carry a full stock of additional sizes and equipment. If you need a different boot size, wider board, or longer ski, it’s as easy as walking right outside your door.

Our goal is to have you spend as much time on the slopes as possible. In the rare event something happens with your equipment, we’re just a phone call away. Our technicians can meet you at the mountain or back at your accommodations to make any necessary adjustments or provide replacements and get you back on the mountain in no time. Select resorts offer slopeside service within their storefront locations. Yep! We like to keep it local. Consider us a ski-boots-on-the-ground operation. It allows us to maintain an authentic, genuine, personalized ski rental experience. Our branch owners know their resort(s) inside and out, because they live and ski there, too. Often times, chances are, the owner is the one fitting your boots!
