Featured Terrain: East River Lift

If you are looking to ski pristine bumps,trees and groomers, look no further than East River Lift located off the Paradise Lift on the backside of the mountain. East River is by far one of the best bangs for your bucks if you are looking to make a bunch of laps. With shorter tree and mogul runs, you are able to take as many laps are you legs will allow you.

The lift East River is named after such river located right behind the lift. Once you make you way over to East River be sure to stop at the bottom and take a picture of one of Crested Butte’s most iconic mountain, Mt. Teocalli. You will soon feel as if you are not skiing at the resort but rather becoming apart of the mountains around you. With runs like Resurrection, Treasury, Bakery Trees, and Black Eagle you are sure to be engulfed with terrain like you’ve never skied before.

Crested Butte is known for small lines and taking as many runs as you can. East River is no exception and will without a doubt make you want to come back year after year. Just a heads up East River does close about 30 minutes early to ensure all the guest get back to the front side of the mountain in time. So be sure to get there early to guarantee you can explore as much as possible.
