Alright stop…put on your coats and listen…Crested Butte is back with its ice carving tradition!

Come out December 16th through the 20th to marvel at the fantastic ice sculptures created by the Rock on Ice team. Two of the world’s greatest ice carvers will put their skills to the test to carve some of the most intricate and larger than life sculptures. Conveniently located at Mountaineer Square, this is a great event for everyone…with interactive displays, daily carving demonstrations and an amazing ice sculpture garden to explore in the courtyard.

Being slope side, enjoy your day on the lifts and spend your breaks perusing through these amazing frozen creations. While enjoying the sculptures, be sure to check out everything else that Mountaineer Square has to offer! The Avalanche Bar & Grill is a great place to satisfy midday hunger. If you are in need of a drink, 9380 Bar, located right by the Red Lady lift, is a great place to relax and enjoy those beautiful mountain views.
